The Tyrolean tenor Thomas Köll discovered his passion for music at the age of six. Before commencing his vocal studies in music education at the Mozarteum University Salzburg (Innsbruck department) with Christoph Rösel, he was active primarily as a percussionist. He later continued his musical training with conducting studies at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm under Mats Nilsson and Fredrik Malmberg.
Köll’s enthusiasm for singing was sparked during his time with the World Youth Choir, where he participated in the summer sessions from 2010 to 2012, including concert tours in Spain and Cyprus.
From 2015 to 2022, he was a tenor in the Swedish Radio Choir. As an ensemble singer, he also collaborates with renowned groups such as B’ROCK, Ensemble Polyharmonique, Collegium Vocale Gent, the Zürcher Singakademie, and the NDR Vokalensemble.
In addition to his ensemble engagements, Thomas Köll appears frequently as a soloist in diverse projects ranging from Renaissance repertoire to contemporary music.
